Our 220mm crescent, or half-moon, shaped Cascade dry-stack retaining wall system blocks are a tried-and-tested retaining wall system, able to retain steep banks with relative ease.
Cascade features a hollow-block design, saving on weight and cost, whilst being extremely strong when installed correctly. This hollow-block design allows landscapers to create green-walls, using the cavity in each block as a planting basin.
Our blocks are designed to integrate seamlessly into a nature-scape, promoting a green stance towards integration between modern and natural aspects.
Our Cascade retaining wall system offers a cost-effective way of securing loose banks, without the risk of compromising on strength. Further, Cascade can be installed as a dry-stack retaining wall, meaning that there is minimal need for concrete, if any, during the installation process, further saving on cost.
Cascade is designed to a bendable dry-stack retaining wall system, meaning that it can take turns easily thanks to it's robust design.
Cascade is offered in the following thicknesses -
• 220mm thickness
• 410mm x 410mm x 220mm
• Crescent/Half Moon Hollow Shape only
Available in the following colors -
• Sandstone
16 paver in a square meter (m2).
3.5 m2 in a pallet.
1 200 KG (1.2 Tons) per pallet.
All retaining wall blocks, regardless of specifications, colors and thickness, are made in compliance with SANS-508.
Cascade can be used in the following scenarios, in approved installation methods -
• Loose banks
• Supporting Driveways
• Feature Walls, including decoration

Depending on construction and design requirements, concrete may be needed in the foundation of any specific wall. This may include the use of steel as reinforcement.
Cascade is designed to be installed using a step-back angle, depending on design requirements. A step-back angle is required to ensure structural integrity whilst still promoting the block's functionality and form.
In most scenarios, a Cascade wall will have to incorporate a setback measurement. A setback measurement is the distance regressed by the upper block in relation to the front of the lower block. This is also done to ensure structural integrity.
Heights over 1 meter need to be engineered professionally to suit the application required.
For heavy-duty retaining applications, we recommend our Verticascade dry-stack retaining wall system.
